Using non-traditional fall colors helps brighten up the acorns!  It’s a fun spin on a Thanksgiving classic…image

So, It was a no-brainer when trying to decide what to use for October…  And, the corrugated cardstock!!  LOVE IT.  The background lines are from the Chalk Lines stamp set…  You notice, that cover for the calendar is the same everything…just a different background paper color… imageHead on over to see what Anne and Cheryl have for you!

Awesomely Artistic September

Standard

September brings this beautiful bouquet of flowers…  From the Awesomely Artistic stamp set!  Such a beautiful set of flowers.  image

As an aside, I’ve seen this stamp used as part of the new ‘coloring book’ craze….  the detailed outline image allows for the ‘zen’ coloring.  Stamping then coloring!  Couldn’t be more fun!imageAnne and Cheryl have something fun for September as well!

Bordering Blooms

Standard

I love mixing a neutral and a bright color!  It adds a great contrast and pop to the project… this is the case with August!!image

This Bordering Blooms stamp set is SUPER fast and easy to use.  They are longs trips of images and perfectly spaced to do the outside images in one step and the inside in another set!  Tip Top Taupe and Daffodil Delight are the colors used here.  I am a Kansas Girl.  And, these little flowers faintly remind me of sunflowers (my FAVORITE).  And, August is a good month for sunflowers!

Summer time is HERE

Standard

To a teacher, the arrival of June always means the arrival of relaxation, lazy days, and sweet, sweet summer.  (well, with littles, that’s not always the case, but life IS less hectic during the summer).image

So, I love using this leaf stamp from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set (now retired) in a bit of a ‘non-traditional’ way (pinks???).  But, I love it!!  It’s cheerful and bold and fun…  all that summer is.  imageHead over to see what Anne and Cheryl have for you!

Butterflies in the Backyard

Standard

Sweet butterflies!  We have some lantana in our backyard that attracts a particular kind of butterfly (Not a bermuda bay butterfly… but still)  Zeke and Hannie love to watch and chase them.  So, this Butterfly Basics stamp set creates the ‘perfect backyard’ on paper….  I love the leaf stem.  I’ve used it multiple times on projects.  Makes a great central image as well as a great background image!image

The butterfly punch makes punching butterflies out a breeze!image

In Bloom

Standard

Like March, April reminds me of blooming and budding trees and flowers!  And, the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set (retired) allows me to accomplish BOTH for this month (a blooming tree…  well, kind of…)image

I love the Lighthearted Leaves set…  and the little flower punch is perfect here.  Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi give the perfect spring time color combination for this month.imageGo see what Anne and Cheryl have for you!

Spring Flowers!

Standard

I’ve lived in Hawaii long enough that I am now able to recognize the subtle change in seasons. (I admit, the first couple of years, I really couldn’t tell much difference.)  And, although there isn’t the drastic vision of a tulip emerging from the cold ground as a sign of spring on it’s way, that idea of spring flowers still seems to be a ‘March’ image in my mind.  SO….  I just had to use these flowers for March!image

These are from the Garden in Bloom stamp set.  It’s a 2 step set, so it is super easy to get the insides and outsides of the flower 2 different colors.

And, that little stapler will continue to be one of my most favorite tools.  It’s perfect for attaching the banner punch out here…  imageAnd spring always makes people ‘happy happy’!

Anne and Cheryl have some exciting things for you today!

Beeeeee mine

Standard

I love this little bee!!  It has such a cheery smile… so it was a MUST for this February Post.

The stamps are from the Honeycomb Hello stamp set.  The little polka dot  hexagon background adds the perfect amount of texture and color to the page…  And, of course, you cannot forget the bling in the heart punch-out…
