Beautiful Peacock

Standard

Happy Monday!

I’m excited to have this day off and to be visiting my bff and stamping in her stamp studio! We are playing with some of the new occasions product and officially decided that today is ‘learn how to use brusho day’.

After a few YouTube videos here is what we came up with:

First step is to stamp and clear emboss the image. And watercolor paper is a must. After the image is heat embossed, use the aqua painter to wet the paper. Then sprinkle a few granules of your preferred brusho color (I used the blue, green, and yellow).  Then, use the aqua painter to blend and spread the color how you want. Blot off any excess color with a paper towel and there you go!

I love how simple this is!  Added a few rhinestones cause it is a peacock, you know…

Here’s a close up:
Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Calendar!  One of my favorite things about the new year is it’s a fresh new everything. And as I’m currently in the process of making the house fresh and new (not ACTUALLY…. But you know, the customary and impulsive cleaning and organizing that a new year brings) I’m excited to show you the new 2018 easel calendar!

I really do enjoy making these calendars. Here is the January edition for you today:

These adorable lanterns come from the Color Me Happy stamp set. I got lots of practice with the new Stampin’ Blends markers (the alcohol based markers that replaced the Blendabilities). I am SO happy to be able to have these markers again. They make coloring so much more fun.  I also dabbed a bit of Wink of Stella glimmer on each of them… Cause glitter makes everything much more festive. Hard to see… But this photo makes it a little better:

And as in years past, Anne and Cheryl will be joining me again for a little 2018 calendar tour! So you will be able to see three different takes on each month! Hope you enjoy!  Click the links to see what Anne and Cheryl made for you!

And… For you calendar DIYers… Anne has made a Pinterest board for everyone to post the calendars we all make. Send me your Pinterest user ID and we will add you to the board!

Happy 2018 to you!
