A Cookie Cutter Halloween

Standard

October is here, ya’ll.  IT’S HERE.  Ready or not.  So, today is to help you get ready.  20160927_193418

This is a super fast little project to get those favors made for the kids’ classes.  And, the pencils?  Target Dollar Spot.  The most amazing place in the world.

This favor uses the fabulous new glassine bags from Stampin’ Up! They are food safe, but I decided to be nice to ALL the innocent and not give candy.  🙂

The mummy couldn’t be easier.  Stamp, punch, done.  I chose it specifically because it didn’t need coloring or anything but you could do that if you wanted.  There are other cute images in this Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, but we were totally going for fast and mass-production.  Add some googly eyes (or not) and the little binder clip (another fabulous new SU product) some paper scraps and you are DONE!  The sentiment is from Spooky Fun.  It’s a cute and perfect little set to keep to use every year.  Cute words and images that will coordinate for every Halloween.

I saw on someone’s pinterest making the little pumpkin out of a circle punch, the jack-o-lantern face and a stapled piece of the kraft rope trim.  JUST LOVE IT.  Could make millions of jack-o-lanterns.  And WAY less messy than carving one.

Quick.  Get some made today cause it’s coming… the end of October is coming…  fast.

Santa is on his way!

Standard

I needed some gifties for Isaac’s classmates. But, as usual, not much time to get them made. So. Target and SU! To the rescue!

image

Target had these super cute kisses wrapped like Santa hats. And I knew IR would be perfect for this stamp and these tags!  And the Santa hat is made using the tree punch (folded over) the 1/4″ circle punch and the word window punch (out of red and dazzling details glimmer paper….cause of COURSE, Santa would have glitter.)

I tied them up with the old olive twine (retired but still on the clearance rack…and amazingly priced).  And, I made Isaac sign them all…. : )

How cute is that??!!

Well…. Here’s to the Christmas prepping… Be sure to slow down and enjoy!

Hello Love!

Hello Love!

Hello MARCH!  What a glorious little birdie to welcome March!

image

These stamp are all from a hostess stamp set called “Hello Love”.  It’s one of my favorites.  And, for those of you buried in snow, it’s a good little reminder that spring is on it’s way.  Here on Maui, we had a bout of winter weather today.  Our winter weather. (It rained all day).  I do love Maui winters.

A Birthday Basket

Standard
A Birthday Basket

I needed a birthday gift.  But it had to be a stampin’ birthday gift cause it was for a stampin’ friend…

image

And I had just received my new Spring Occasions Catalog worth of stuff so, I thought I’d play around…

Here’s the card:

image

The words for this card are from the Celebrate Today stamp set.  I love layering them one on top of each other…

image

Sorry, but I cut the flowers.  They’re from the Best Day Ever Salebration Stamp Set (which is FREE with a $50 purchase).  And, do you notice the little heart??  It fits PERFECT in the scallop border punch.

image

For the gift, I just got a gift card, which is a universal delight.  But, to jazz it up a bit, I made a gift card envelope with the gift card framelit (which is still available, btw).  And, I wanted to present it in something special… so I put together the berry basket.  IT IS SUPER CUTE.  LOVE THE BASKET (and stay tuned, there will be more baskets in the future).  The DSP used here is also the SAB Best Year Ever DSP…

So, there… The birthday Basket.

You know you want one…  🙂

Endless Merry Wishes

Standard

Wow.  It’s been a full 12 months.  Time sure flies!!  This month features my absolute favorite stamp set that was released last year… Endless Wishes.  WHICH, I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE, IS AVAILABLE THIS YEAR AS WELL!!

It’s such an easy set to use!  and, even though the images are snowflakes, I’m learning you don’t have to do them in traditional snowflake colors.  Which is fortunate, cause it does seem strange doing snowflakes when the outside temperature is a frigid 80.

The other thing I like about this stamp set is the choice of words that come with it.  There are many greeting type words that come in a mix of the cursive and typewritten fonts.  They work VERY well on tags or other small items–independently of the snowflakes.  So, it is a great Christmas Set investment.  Now, if you know me, you know that I typically sell all my retired sets.  My stampin’ space just doesn’t allow for me to keep every stamp set that I’ve ever had.  But, I can honestly say, this is one set I will probably hang on to.  Yes.  I like it THAT much.

December means it’s that time to start thinking about next year… and a new calendar!  So… stay tuned to the blog… I will announce when I will have my annual Easel Calendar Class so you can come and make your own set of beautiful calendar pages…  AND, we will feature them again on the first of every month next year as well!!  Thanks for checking in!!

And…  Little favors for the family or classmates… These are M&M and sixlets sleeves and See’s candy lollipop reindeer!   Mix and match them!

Back by popular demand….

Standard

It’s 10:45…. I’m still within Thursday. So, I’m not late.  But, I wanted to share with you some of the most requested items I will have on Saturday.

First up:  Car Trash Bags.

image

These have, by far, been one of my best selling items. They’re a little trash bag that can hang from the head rest in your car. The inside is a laminated canvas so it is easy to wipe out.

They don’t just have to be for trash…. They make a nice catch-all for books, crayons, etc for the children too..

Second up is the Mason Jar Cookie Bar Mix:

image

These great jars have the dry ingredients to make delicious chocolate chip bars FAST.  Cause who wants to wait for chocolate chip cookies?  They come with an instruction card with the wet ingredients to add…  And a few short minutes later:  deliciousness.

I wanted to also show you a guest crafter’s items… My mom. She isn’t a paper crafter but a fabric crafter. And I’m not sure there isn’t anything she can’t sew…  Case in point… The best, cutest, cross-body, perfect Vegas traveling bag.

image

These bags are super cute and cheery. They are just the right size…not too big or too small. They have three pockets on the wall in the inside… Perfect for your phone. A button closure completes them.   She only made a few of these…so don’t be late…

Saturday. 9:00…

Stockings and Stuffers!

Standard

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

And, if you need a little help, I have the perfect stockings for you.  I LOVE these stockings… they’re more along the lines of the long and skinny type, and have the perfect blend of rustic and elegant…  Burlap is so popular these days… I love the texture it adds to things.

image

My favorite are the rusted jingle bells.  But they DO jingle!  Cannot have bells that don’t jingle….

And, with your new stockings, you need something to put in them!  Here are a couple suggestions:  The mason jar water glass.  Now I know that EVERYONE  has jumped on the mason jar band wagon…  But here’s why these are special…  Stainless Steel Straws.  AND a little cozie.  This doesn’t block all the sweat, but does a lot.  And, I used pint and a half jars (20 oz) to make these instead of the usual quart size.  This means a little less drink but they aren’t as heavy AND they fit in cup holders (well, at least in my car… whereas the quarts won’t).  And, they’re already wrapped.  So no wrapping required on your part!

image

And the next stuffer is a little gift for the pedicure enthusiast… (I am a self-proclaimed pedicure enthusiast….so these are probably one of the most fun things I got to make).  It’s a little set to make those toes ready for the Christmas!  Two polishes and a little mini nail file to go with it!  These are perfect little gifts for co-workers, friends, teachers… I LOVE the tag:  “For your Mistle’toes’!!”

See you on Saturday!

Write a note, make a note

Standard

Welcome back to the 2nd installment of my countdown to the Maui Stampers’ and Friends Christmas Craft Fair.  Today we have implements to write notes and make notes!!

First up is the little gift note bundle!  Little bags that have a set of 4 cards and a post-it and pen.  I love these little bags.  They are the perfect little gift.  It’s nice to have on hand, just when you need a little gift for someone.

I’m really in to burlap these days, so these bags were a perfect find when I was doing my yearly crafting stock-up shopping…

image

And these flowers are so cheery!!  Not that we have to worry about the winter blues here, but they are the perfect cure for those… It would be a good gift to send to the mainland right now…

wpid-20141117_184903.jpg

And, these clipboards are the perfect place to keep your notes handy.  I have about 5.  I love them cause they hang perfectly on those command hooks just at arm’s reach for all your ‘I need to remember…’ jotting down..

imageAnd, you probably guessed, I don’t have too many of these either… so come early!!

See you Saturday!

Coffee!! (Lets try this again…)

Standard

Clearly… If you have signed up for emails when I publish this is the second round of this post…and Clearly… I need some coffee.  (That is what you get for trying to rush around and multitask way too early in the morning).

Anyway, This is the REAL Coffee Post!!

Some of you may know, this weekend is our Maui Stampers’ and Friends Craft Fair!  And, I wanted to give you a little taste of some of the things I will have for sale there.  The first item up for grabs are these little coffee cups!  Complete with carriers!  They are filled with chocolate covered espresso beans (sealed in a cello bag…not just loose).  These would make the PERFECT gift for teachers, co-workers… your favorite coffee lover…  and apparently, me at the moment… 🙂

Attach a gift card to a favorite coffee establishment and you have an instant gift!  It’s perfect.

I have singles and double-shots available!!

I love the paper straws too…

Be sure to get there early cause I have a very limited supply of these…  (I may entertain the idea of doing orders, but haven’t decided yet….)

OOh, they are so fun.  They were fun to make!  I’m hoping to feature something every day this week… And I will PROMISE to TRY not to upload cryptic blogs posts at the wee hours in the morning….

Here are the details about the Craft Fair!!  Be sure to stop by!  We have lots of ideas for Christmas gifts with a great variety for everyone on your list!!
