I’m hoping that we will be able to return to a time when we can be able to shake hands, share a smile, give a hug without being worried of infecting or being infected. I suppose that is coming in time. But, in the mean time, we can use this little hedge hog to give our hugs for us. This came from the stamp set Hedgehugs and it has just the CUTEST little hedge hogs (and skunks…who doesn’t love a cute skunk..??). (Sorry, the set is now retired).
This is the simplest page, and using a couple of markers and early espresso ink. But, it’s the simplicity that makes it nice… just like a smile. or hug.
So even though we have to smile at a distance, and send paper hugs, we can still do that to brighten another’s day. And, at this day and time, we need even more of that now than ever.
Check out what Anne and Cheryl have for you this month!
April, of course, makes me think of Easter, Spring, and all things pretty and pastel. Though I now live in the tropics, I still feel that sense of spring time coming and shaking off the cold dreariness of winter and making all things new and fresh.
And, that’s exactly what I wanted this flower to be! Something new and fresh. It’s the simple flower image from the stamp set, Beautiful Promenade.
I love the simplicty of the flower, and it gave me PERFECT opportunity to color with my blends. (I cannot tell you how much I enjoy coloring with these.) I decided to use the Hyland Heather and Purple Posey variations to create my lavenders in this flower.
Coloring is such a relaxing past time for me. And, I think it is a good one to occupy my time during this ‘extended at home staycation’. Speaking of, how’s everyone doing? Hope you are staying well. I must admit, I was a little worried (and still am) about being home for 5 weeks WITH littles, non stop… but, I am kind of enjoying it! (We’re only a week in…) But, we’ve been working on some projects as a family and it’s been GOOD. Productive.
Praying for your safety and continued wellness. Our thoughts, prayers, and gratitude are with our front line health care workers. I’m praying that we come out of this with a greater sense of care and understanding for those around us.

I’d like to think Santa swings back around to Maui after his exhausting night traveling the globe. And takes a nice restful vacation right on our beach. And this is exactly how he would do it.
I think he would have a fantastic time in his vacation here.
I love this set, So Santa (Holiday catalog 2018). It’s hard for me to get into snowmen and winter scenes when it’s still 90 degrees going into December…. So this set adds that little tropical feel to the holiday.
Hope as you reflect on this year you take some time to enjoy the people around you who make your every day special. I’m thankful for my family and friends who are like family. And I’m thankful for my Savior who came to this Earth as a little baby.
Merry Christmas to you. And I wish you the best in 2020.

Go see what Anne and Cheryl have for you this month!
When September rolls around, I start looking for fall… and wishing for cooler weather. In Hawaii, the changes are subtle (it IS a little cooler, not a lot, but noticeable). And it rains. And ooo do we need the rain….
Anyway, to help WELCOME fall I have this month’s calendar. The stamp set is Wishing You Well from the fall and winter catalog from LAST year (so now retired). But I really liked it’s simplicity and ‘fallness’.
I used Berry Burst for the dark color and mango medley and gray granite for the rest off the colors to help us WELCOME FALL (Do you hear that, Fall?? You can come now.)
School has been underway enough to make it habitual and now we are ready for the season to follow suit. Hope you have fun looking at what Anne and Cheryl have for you!!
Happy August!! And, I hope this day is magical for you!
This is the cutest mermaid I think I’ve ever seen. When SU came out with the Magical Day stamp set (now retired) I knew I had to have it. And, I knew she had to be part of the calendar!
One thing I LOVE about Stampin Up! is that they offer items in suites. These are sets of coordinating products to help with the crafting. This Magical Day suite came with glimmer paper and washi tape to tie everything in together. I think that’s one thing I noticed that is important. When your inks, papers, ribbons, tapes, etc. COORDINATE it really makes a difference (as opposed to….well, that will work…)
The photos don’t pick up too well, but her body is painted with ink and an aqua painter and there is a smooodge (yes, that is the correct technical term) of champagne shimmer paint over the scales on her body and fins… it makes her all the more magical…

And just like that it is already July… I feel like summer is FLYING BY. But one of my favorite things about summer is LEMONADE! I am super fortunate to have an amazing lemon tree in my back yard and it gives the BEST juicing lemons. And I love to make up a pitcher of fresh lemonade! My kids love to help as well!
This Lemon Zest stamp set (now retired) brings to mind all the tastes and smells of summer when I see it!
I used daffodil delight, lemon lime twist and flirty flamingo to make the lemons! This one is super easy… stamp and go!
Hope you are having a fabulous summer! Hop on over to see what Anne and Cheryl have for you this month!
May’s calendar page was one I so enjoyed making… even in it’s extreme simplicity. I love this little stamp set, Varied Vases. It also has a coordinating punch (which is currently bundled at 10% off, but won’t be after May 31!)
I love that you can color the vase and flowers however you want. And, for May, I wanted bright and cheerful! And I LOVE orchids. But, when they come into my home, they die. A slow, painful, leaf by leaf death. So, having STAMPED orchids allows me to enjoy the flower without harming any of the actual living plants!! It’s a win-win!
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! Moms, aunties, sisters… all the wonderful women in our lives that have shaped and molded us into who we are. I have several in my own life for whom I am eternally grateful.
Hop on over to see what Anne and Cheryl have done for you this month!!
Though we seem to be in the still very cool (ish) weather of a Maui winter, we know spring is coming!
I just loved this little stamp set. It was a hostess offering in the spring 2018 occasions catalog called Yay You. And I fell in love with the little banner stamp.
I love that the pennant can be used for just about any occasion and it kind of reminded me of those decorative flags you could put out on the front porch that changed with the seasons…. This one is welcoming spring!
Hope you are having a great start to march!
Check out what Anne and Cheryl have for you as well!
