I love this little bee!!  It has such a cheery smile… so it was a MUST for this February Post.

The stamps are from the Honeycomb Hello stamp set.  The little polka dot  hexagon background adds the perfect amount of texture and color to the page…  And, of course, you cannot forget the bling in the heart punch-out…

Go see what Anne and Cheryl have for you!  And, happy Valentine’s Day to  you!

The BIG one…three..

Standard

So, boy birthday cards instill fear and trepidation into this stamper’s soul.  Cause, I have NO IDEA what to do for boys.  I’ve got boy babies down, (zoo babies0 and small boys aren’t a problem…  trucks, diggers.  All good.  Even the monster set was a good one for young boys.  BUT THIRTEEN??  What do you do for a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD BOY?????

Grungy Numbers to the rescue.

20160121_175118

This is my husband’s cousin… and I know a couple of key pieces of information… 1.  he likes the color orange and 2. he requested amazon gift cards.

This, my friends, I think I can handle.

And it is so fortuitous that the gift card to that glorious shopper’s haven in the interwebs happens to coordinate with his favorite color.  This makes the OCD in me very happy.

The number framelits dies have a very nice stamp set to go with them.  It is VERY nice.  But not one bit 13 year old boy.  So… I decided just to cut the numbers with the framelits (instead of using the stamps and then cutting the numbers out) and then to stamp the background with EVERY COLOR OF NON-COLOR WE HAVE.  (Both grays, black… white embossing on the starburst cut-out).  And, I just stamped the background as much as you could stamp a piece of paper with every splatter and scrape available in the Gorgeous Grunge set.

And, there you go.  Simplest card ever.  Simplest card made for the most difficult card segment of the population.  Done.

Pocket Calendars

Pocket Calendars

I wanted a little Happy New Year gifty for my stamp club members… so on one of my excursions to target, I happened upon these in the Target Dollar Spot:

20160117_122757

Super cute little calendars with a clear plastic cover.  I used to decorate these a million years ago… and with the digital influx, they seem to have not been as prevalent as they once were…

So, I loaded up.  And decided I needed to do something nice, but it had to be fast.  Cause, I don’t have these brilliant flashes of crafting genius when I actually have time to make anything.  It’s always last minute…

So, I thought watercolor and Flowering Field (a Sale-a-Bration set).  You can whip up a gigaton of these in a jiffy!!

20160115_122146

They are perfect!! the aqua painter makes this go so fast.  Use some favorite colors and you have an instant gift.

I love simple field flowers…

I was just at the dollar spot yesterday… they have more…  Hurry.  Before I go back and buy the rest…

100 Days Smarter

Standard

Today marks 100 days of kindergarten. I can’t believe how fast that went. So. To mark the occasion, Isaac’s class is having a celebration. (I would like to go on record and say I do not recall…one instance…where I celebrated 100 days of school…so…um….). Anyway… I thought I’d turn to Pinterest  for some  inspiration and here is what happened:

image

Loved the idea to use twix and fudge striped cookies to make 100! And, I dug into the vault for the Crayon Kids stamp set (one of my faves) for the crayon stamp.  I cut strips of Bermuda bay, daffodil delight, and watermelon wonder. I glued them to whisper white. On a velum panel, I printed the sentiment. I layered it over my colors and used stazon black to stamp the crayon onto the vellum.

image

I don’t like that glue shows through velum so I used the stapler to attach the vellum as well as the cello. Staples through all the layers. Super fast. And a lot of fun!  Happy 100 days Isaac! And many more to come!

Happy 2016!!!

Happy 2016!!!

Hard to believe it is time to welcome another year!!  I always start working on these calendars in October of the previous year, and it seems SO far away at the time… but wow… it sure sneaks up quick.

I’m very excited about this year’s calendar!  I think you will enjoy it!  We had some fun sets to use…

image

Doesn’t this cover just make you NEED one of these perched up up on your desk??  A little bit of smile just staring at you each and every day of the year…(FYI, I have a handful of these calendars left… but you better act fast before they are gone.)

Of course, for January, we needed something to WELCOME the year, so I thought the use of the Dotty Angles stamp made a great New Year’s Confetti Drop…  image

The stars are the punch outs from the star confetti border punch…  The fine tipped glue pen makes gluing them down a breeze…  Celebrate comes from the Celebrate Today Stamp Set.  It works perfectly here.

image

Hope you are able to celebrate the coming of the new year with those you love…  Hug them tight.  🙂  Wishing you much joy in the coming year.

If you need one of these calendars, fill out the contact form belowand I will get one to you…  The calendar with the easel is $15 and the refill (calendar only) is $10.  I will have it weighed to figure exact shipping costs, and will ship it as cheaply as possible.

Head on over to see what Anne and Cheryl have for you!

Santa is on his way!

Standard

I needed some gifties for Isaac’s classmates. But, as usual, not much time to get them made. So. Target and SU! To the rescue!

image

Target had these super cute kisses wrapped like Santa hats. And I knew IR would be perfect for this stamp and these tags!  And the Santa hat is made using the tree punch (folded over) the 1/4″ circle punch and the word window punch (out of red and dazzling details glimmer paper….cause of COURSE, Santa would have glitter.)

I tied them up with the old olive twine (retired but still on the clearance rack…and amazingly priced).  And, I made Isaac sign them all…. : )

How cute is that??!!

Well…. Here’s to the Christmas prepping… Be sure to slow down and enjoy!

Super fast Christmas Card

Standard

I just wanted to share with you a super easy, fast-to-make Christmas card. It really doesn’t get any faster or easier than this…

image

A couple pieces of that Winter Wonderland washi tape, a scrap of the red foil paper and the tree (from the peaceful pines stamp set and coordinating framelits) stamped in always artichoke. Seriously. Takes 3 minutes to assemble. A rhinestone on top of the tree and some gold cord trim completes the card. Perfect for last minute. (Cause it dawned on me this am that it is the last minute. Now. Cue panic attack….).

image

And, I used some of the red envelope paper to make a nice red envelope. This is a 3.5×6 card… It could fit in a #10 envie. But why? We have the envie punch board and the red paper makes it so festive…

image

So… There. Fast, simple… And very nice. I happen to have a few of these on hand…let me know if you need…

Happy WONDERFUL Christmas

Standard

I LOVE WREATHS.  Especially fresh ones.  Except where we live, we can’t buy it very early cause it won’t last long…  And, even fake ones take a beating on my front door (it gets direct sun for much of the day).  BUT… not ones on PAPER!!  This Wondrous Wreath stamp set is SO much fun to work with!!image

And, with the photopolymer stamps, it is SO easy to line up the layers of the wreath to make the different colored leaves and berries!  Lots of fun to make!

Happy Christmas Decorating to you!  Hope you are able to spread cheer wherever you go.  And, have a Happy WONDERFUL Christmas!

Go see what Anne and Cheryl have made!

A Blast from the Past

Standard

I have two quick things to show you today… First up:

Tin Of Cards!

image

This is a super cute little tin card organizer filled with dividers, cards, and envelopes!  This takes me back… I used to make these for craft fairs years back until I couldn’t find the tins anymore. And Stampin’ UP! brought them back!  They are in the catalog, so if you are a stamper and want to make your own, you can! And if you are not a stamper but still want to have this cute set…YOU CAN! They are available completely assembled at the Maui Stampers’ Craft Fair.  The tin comes with 16 cards and envies (4 each of 3 designs) and are Happy Hello, Happy Birthday, Thanks, and Congrats. Plus there is plenty of room for storing more cards. The dividers make it perfect to sort and find the card you need fast. This makes a most excellent gift.

The next thing I have to show you is a popular item… The Christmas Cookie Mix Jar.

image

This is fun for families. The cookie mix comes with all the dry ingredients and a recipe to make a most delicious batch of bar cookies. And it is FAST. And EASY (especially made for little helpers).  It’s also a perfect Christmas gift.

image

And, another secret… I keep this on hand for a quick dessert to take to last minute events. (And sometimes the event isn’t last minute…but I am). Grab one for you and one to give!

See you Saturday!
